Notice of initiation of a prospecting permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).
The Environment Agency reports that OÜ Väo Paas (registry code: 10055887) (address: Lagedi tee 16, Veneküla, Rae County, Harju County, 75325) has submitted an application for authorisation to prospect for the Tondi-Väo IV exploration room.
The Tondi-Väo research room is located in the city of Lasnamäe, Tallinn, Harju County, on the land of Lagedi TEE 16c (cadastral reference 78403:313:0950). The estate of lagedi tea 16c is owned by the Republic of Estonia, managed by the Ministry of the Environment and the land Maa-amet.
The area of the Tondi-Väo IV trial room is 3.30 ha. The purpose of the proposed exploration is to specify the thickness of the utility layer distributed in the exploration room, its quality and the conditions under which it is exploited, so that the quantity of mineral present can be estimated as an active commercial resource in order to subsequently apply for a mining permit for that area. The study provides up to 5 drilling wells with a depth of up to 25 m and 5 exploration wells. In addition, water level measurements and physical and mechanical tests on the material derived from wells shall be carried out. The geological survey shall be authorised for a period of 2 years and shall be carried out by an OÜ Inseneribüroo STEIGER.
The Environment Agency has checked that the application for a permit for prospecting complies with the requirements laid down in the underground Act. That application complied with the form of order sought.
The application for authorisation to prospect and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (tel +372 674 4803, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally in the Environment Agency's document register http://dhsadr-kea.envir.ee.
Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse a permit for prospecting, any person shall have the right to submit to the Environment Agency reasoned proposals and objections to the application. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.
The draft prospecting permit shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
