Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for a mining Osaühing FOR Tammemäe VII (“mining permit”) submitted by Opora Association c.b.a. (registry code: 10495273) (address käigega 27, Gamnik village, Freistaat Sachu, 75511 Harju County) (registered under document management system of the Environment Agency 30.04.2019 under document number 12-2/19/338) has been accepted.

The mountain allocation applied for is located in the municipality of Freistaat Sachu, Harju, district of Viimsi, 16, a State-owned cadastral unit (cadastral identification: 71801:001:0130, registration: 8618902). The requested mountain allocation consists of 141 blocks of active consumption of building sand in the Tallinn-Saku sandy deposit (registry card No 0109) and 142 blocks of active consumption of filling sand.

The area of the mountain allocation applied for is 7.80 ha and that of the catchment area 8.14 ha. According to the application, as of 31.10.2018, the amount of active consumption of building sand from the mountain allocation is 238 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 223 thousand m ³ and the amount of active consumption of aggregates sand is 441 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 303 thousand m ³. The average annual rate of mineral extraction is requested at 40 thousand m ³, the fields of use being construction and road construction. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

until a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for mining and quarrying, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
