Notice of initiation of the environmental permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that BIOLAN Baltic OÜ (registry code: 10053500) (address Pärnu County, Pärnu City, Lavassaare Province, Kasvuturba) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit a resource in the Rääma III cod production area.

Authorisation to exploit mineral resources is sought in the municipality of Pärnu, Talau, in Kilksama village, on land owned by the Republic of Estonia, for the Rääääääääääääkaebuse 2 (cadastral mark 73001:001:1396) and the Taal District 127 (cadastral mark 73001:002:0410). The requested mountain allocation comprises 16 blocks of active consumption of fully degraded peat at at the Rääma peat deposit (registry card No 0230) and 15 blocks of active consumption of scarce peat.

The area of the mountain allocation applied for is 29.14 ha and the area of that service is 35.34 ha. Within the limit of the mining allocation applied for, the low-depleted cod stock is 34 thousand t, of which the stock to be extracted is 34 thousand t and the high-depleted peat is 30 thousand t, of which the stock to be extracted is 21 thousand t. for mineral uses in horticulture and energy. The mining company is named BIOLAN Baltic OÜ. The mining permit applied for is valid for 30 years. The maximum annual mining rate is 5 thousand t.

until the decision to grant or refuse an environmental permit is taken, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The preparation of the draft environmental permit shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
