Notice of initiation of a prospecting permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the APPLICATION for a geological survey permit submitted by OÜ VATSLA quarry (registry code: 14854645) (address hoo tn 7, Nõmme district, Tallinn, 11625 Harju district) to the Vatsla II research centre has been accepted.

The geological survey is requested for a privately owned plot of land, Põldmäe Teway 11, in Harju County, Saue (cadastral title: 72701:001:0127). The area covered by the requested survey room is 19.09 ha. The geological survey shall be carried out with a view to specifying the thickness of the limestone layer, its quality and the conditions under which it is exploited, in order to evaluate the mineral as an active consumable resource and subsequently to apply for a mining permit for that area. This is a consumable stock survey which plans to build up up up to 5 wells. The research depth is up to 15 m. in addition, the study plans to carry out the following ad hoc work: water level measurements, test pumping. The survey is carried out by OÜ Inseneribüroo STEIGER (registry code: 11206437, address: Männiku tee 104, Tallinn, 11216 Harju County). The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 3 years.

The application for authorisation to prospect and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (info 435 5621, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for a prospecting operation, any person shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address in info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to a postal address at Viljandi Road 16, Nõmme Town, Tallinn, 11216 Harju County.

The draft prospecting permit shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
