Notice of initiation of the environmental permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to exploit the sand quarry of Mällikvere, Mällikvere village, Põltsamaa Municipality, Jõgeva County, 48014, submitted by Metsaserv OÜ (registration code: 12842655), has been accepted.

The mining licence for the Liivamäe quarry of sandy III is applied for in the municipality of Türi, Järva, pala village, in the sandpastry fields of the Liivamäe (registry card No 0549) in the private cadastral parcels Saaresauna (cadastritus 83601:002:0441) and Vana-Saaresauna (cadastritus 83601:002:0660).

The area of the mountain deposit of the sandy quarry applied for is 7.32 ha and that of the service area of the mountain deposit is 11.22 ha. The extracted minerals are, according to the application, building sand (an active consumable reserve of 151 thousand m3 and a quarrying stock of 129 thousand m3) and aggregates sand (an active consumable reserve of 65 thousand m3 and a quarrying stock of 54 thousand m3) and the planned area of use of the minerals is road construction and construction. The average annual extraction rate is, according to the application, 12 thousand m3. The mining permit is requested for a period of 15 years.

The environmental permit application and other relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency Rapla (Tallinna mnt 14, PK 5, 79513, Rapla; info@keskkonnaamet.ee; 56885603).
The application shall be digitally accessible in the public Register of documents of the Environment Agency https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/

until the decision to grant or refuse an environmental permit is taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Tallinna mnt 14, PK 5, 79513, Rapla.

The preparation of the draft environmental permit shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
