Notice of initiation of a prospecting permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for a geological exploration licence submitted by the Valkla Mines Association OÜ (registration code: 14860953) (address Harju County, Tallinn, Kristiine district, Mustamäe tee 4, 10621) has been accepted.

Geological survey permit is requested for state-owned rural municipalities Rabapõllu (35301:001:0821), Tammesaare (35201:001:0074), mountain field (35201:001:0075), Tuulenurga (35301:001:0822), Anija district 167 (35301:001:0293), sandmountain mountain (35201:001:0085), Aniulfia (2011:0020), 2011:0042 and 2011:0023 (2011:0023). The test room is called the Valkla test room. The total area of the four plots in the area covered by the survey room applied for is 65.90 ha. The requested survey room partly overlaps with blocks 2 of the active reserve of building limestone on the Valkla sand-limestone deposit (registry card No 0056) and partly with blocks 3 of the active consumable stock of well-degraded peat on the Kodasoo peat deposit (registry card No 0215).

The purpose of the study is to determine, at the level of consumption, the volume and quality of lime and dolomite (limestone), which is distributed in the survey room and suitable for the construction fragmentation. The study plans to build up up to 25 wells and up to 20 exploration wells with a research depth of up to 16 m. the resources to be studied are lime and dolomite. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 5 years. The study is carried out by the limited company Maavarauuringud OÜ (registry code 14346587; address: Liiva tn 41, Tartu 50303).

The application for authorisation to prospect and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency.
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse a geological exploration licence, any person shall have the right to submit to the Environment Agency reasoned proposals and objections to the application. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216, Tallinn.

The draft geological exploration licence shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
