Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under paragraph 30(2) of the Rural Law (MaaPS).
 
Keskkonnaamet announces, that KIVIÕLI KEEMIATÖÖSTUSE OSAÜHING (registry code: 10186158) (address Turu tn 3, Kiviõli linn, Lüganuse vald, 43125 Ida-Viru maakond)an application for a geological survey permit has been granted on request.

Prospecting is requested in East Viru County, Lüganus County, Uljaste County for State-owned cadastral parcels Sonda District 2 (cadastral mark 75101:001:0120), Sonda District 27 (cadastral mark 75101:001:0037), Sonda District 39 (cadastral mark 75101:001:0044) and reserve land. The cadastral parcel manager is the Ministry of Environment and the approved body is the State Forest Management Centre. In addition, the requested Uljaste survey room overlaps with privately owned cadastral units Jaanivere (cadastral mark 75101:001:0006), sandaru (cadastral mark 75101:001:0230), bridge (cadastral mark 75101:001:0014), bridge (cadastral mark 75101:001:0015), Satsu section of track (cadastral mark 75101:001:00000024) and Kaubastrittunt (T5).

The area of the Uljaste survey room applied for is 424,11 ha. This is a consumable stock survey, which plans to build up up up to 40 wells and up to 15 exploration voids of an exploration depth of up to 50 m. oil shale is the exploitable mineral. It is planned to carry out the following hydrogeological tests in the course of the study: test-pumping and water level measurements. In addition, it is planned to carry out the following ad hoc work: study on Uljaste sludge; determination of moisture content, ash content, calorific value and oil content in the oil shale; topographic measurement; sounding of peat (approximately 15 counting points). The survey is carried out by OÜ Inseneribüroo STEIGER (registry code 11206437, address Männtee 104, Nõmme district, Tallinn, 11216 Harju county). The period of validity of the authorisation for the geological survey applied for shall be 5 years.
