Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Section 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

Keskkonnaamet declares that ERA Valduse Aktsiaselts (registry code: 10218875) (address Rapla maakond, Märjamaa vald, Sõtke küla, Metsanurga tn 2, 78318) the application for an environmental permit for the extraction of mineral resources (also “the mining permit”) submitted by the applicant was granted.

The mining permit for the Hagudi peat production site shall be applied for in the Hagudi peat deposit site in Rapla district (registry card No 111) in the village of ALU-Metsküla, in the cadastral parcels Vahasus district 88 (cadastral mark 66904:001:0050) and Vahasus district 206 (cadastral mark 66904:001:01:0319); in the village of Hagudi the cadastre forest district 207 (cadastral mark 66903:003:00003:250 and cadastrol village 003:006) in the cadastrol village number 003:003:250. The cadastral parcels are owned by the Republic of Estonia, the manager is the Ministry of the Environment and the approved body is the Centre for the Management of State Forests.

The area covered by the Hagudi for hay peat production is 275.32 ha and the area covered by the provision for hills is 291.73 ha. The minerals being extracted are, according to the application, low-density peat (an active consumption of 1063 thousand t and a mine of 1018 thousand t) and well-degraded peat (an active consumption of 394 thousand t and an excavated supply of 362 thousand t) and the planned uses of the minerals are horticulture and energy. According to the application, the maximum annual extraction rate is 9 thousand t. the mining permit is requested for a period of 30 years. According to the explanatory memorandum to the application, to the extent necessary to obtain the mining capacity necessary for the mining permit, the extraction capacity of the other licences in ERA's public limited company will be modified in line with the actual extraction capacity.

Until the the granting or refusal of an environmental permit decision is made, any person has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the On the application to the Environment Agency.
