The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 58(3) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency notifies that NPM Silmet OÜ (registry code: 10294959) (address Ida-Viru County, Sillamäe City, Kesk tn 2, 40231) applies for a radiological authorisation to handle residues of NORM containing natural radionuclides (U-238, th-232), columide and tantalid, naturally occurring radionuclides from processing and processing (U-238, th-232), including the safety of residues of NORM. The Environment Agency States that it will reject the application for a radiological licence and, pursuant to paragraph 43(1)(p) (3) of the Law on administrative procedure, close the administrative procedure as a result of paragraphs 43(4) (4) and 15(2) of that law. NPM Silmet OÜ has not provided the data requested by the Environment Agency in letters DM-101362-3, 05.10.2018 in letters DM-101362-5, 15.10.2018 in letters DM-101362-7, 22.11.2018 in letters DM-101362-11, 12.12.2018 in letters DM-101362-16 and 26.01.2019 in letters DM-101362-25 to ensure the safety of the NORM residue.
