Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The change (extension) of the mining permit is requested in the County of Rapla in the municipality of Märjamaa in the village of Veski. The quarry of granule sand is located in the deposit of Vanakubja (registry card No 814) at the cadastral block of Vanakubja sand quarry (cadastritus No 50404:001:0078), owned by the Republic of Estonia, managed by the Ministry of the Environment and Maa-amet by the
.
The area covered by the mountain allocation for the grass fallow is 3.07 ha and the area covered by the mountain allocation is 6.25 ha. According to the mining authorisation, the active consumption of mining sand is 50 thousand m ³ and the excavated stock is 44,6 thousand m ³ and the active consumption of aggregate sand is 81 thousand m ³ and the excavated stock is 68 thousand m ³. The average annual rate for the extraction of mineral resources is, according to the permit, 12 thousand m ³. The fields of use of the mineral resource include general construction and road construction. The duration of the authorisation is indicated on 09.10.2017 and it is recommended to extend the authorisation for a period of 7 years.

until a decision is taken to amend or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
