Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for extension of mining permit No KMIN-040 submitted by limestone OÜ (registry code: 11647221) (address: Pärnu mnt 75a, Lake Märjamaa, Municipality of Märjamaa, County Rapla, 78304) was accepted.

The extension of the mining permit for orgita II is requested in the County of Rapla, in the municipality of Märjamaa, in Orgita village. Orgita II is a quarry in the Orgita-Haimre deposit (registry card No 153), in the Alver cadastral division (cadastral mark 50402:001:0840), owned by the Republic of Estonia, managed by the Ministry of the Environment and authorised by the Maa-amet.

The mountain area of the heraldic quarry II is 4.63 ha and that of the mountain pasture is 6.25 ha. According to the mining authorisation, the active consumption of building dolomite in mining reserves is 333,6 thousand m ³ and the excavated reserves are 333,6 thousand m ³. The authorised maximum annual mining rate is 40 thousand m ³. The applications of the mineral are the construction and finishing stone and the construction of the construction chippings. The duration of the authorisation is indicated on 22.04.2018 and it is recommended that the authorisation be extended for 10 years.

until a decision is taken to amend or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at the pohja@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla.

The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
