Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation submitted by OÜ SISEK (registry code: 12814305) (address: Vaguri, Vinni County, Western Viru County, 46607) to exploit the mineral resources of the Vitla III sandy quarry has been accepted. Authorisation is sought for the extraction of building sand and gravel on the Vitla III sandpasture (registry card 0023). The mountain allocation of the “neitla III” sandy quarry is situated in the municipality of Albu in Lääne-Viru, on a property owned by the developer in the village of Neitla, Tanksema (cadastral mark 12902:003:0543).

The area of the mountain allocation applied for is 0.88 ha and that of the service area of the mountain allocation is 0.88 ha. The active consumption of building sand is 19,3 thousand m ³ and the excavated stock is 18,3 thousand m ³, the active consumption of the building gravel is 6 thousand m ³ and the excavated stock is 6 thousand m ³ and the active consumption of the aggregate sand is 4,7 thousand m ³ and the excavated stock is 4,7 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 6 thousand m ³ is requested. Mineral resources are used in road and civil engineering. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 5 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency in Rakvere (J. Kunderi 18, Rakvere, Tel. 325 8401, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
