Notice of initiation of a general geological exploration permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the request for permission to carry out general geological exploration (registered under document management system of the Kadaka tee No 12-2/17/2762) submitted by Osaühing Eesti Geological Centre (registry code: 10140653) (address: junaki tea 82, Mustamäe district, Tallinn, Harju district, 12618) was accepted.

The general geological exploration licence is requested in the regions of Rapla (in the municipalities of Märjamaa, Raikküla, Kehtna, Vigala and Järvakandi) and Pärnu (in the municipalities of Vändra, Halinga, Are, Sauga, Ttori, Tootsi, Audru, Sindi, Pärnu, Paikuse, Tahkuranna, Surju, Häädemeeste, and Saarde).

The area covered by the survey room is 269829,59 ha. The purpose of the general geological survey is to carry out geological mapping of the basic map sheets of Järvakandi (6312), Pärnu-Jaagupi (5334), Pärnu (5332), Häädemeeste (5314) and Ikla (5312) on a scale of 1: 50 000. It is planned that up to 120 wells and up to 12000 exploration outlets will be created in the course of the exploration. Research depth is up to 100 m. the following works are additionally planned: water level measurement, description of drilling core (s) and sampling and analysis. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 5 years. The research is commissioned by the Maa-amet and carried out by Osaühing in the Estonian Geological Centre.

The application for authorisation to conduct general geological exploration and other relevant documents can be consulted at the headquarters of the Environment Agency (Narva mnt 7a, 15172, Tallinn; info@keskkonnaamet.ee; 680 7438).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse permission for general geological exploration, any person shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at the laane@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla.

The preparation of a draft permit for general geological exploration shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
