Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that the limited company ROPKA sand (registry code: 10288539) (address: Aardlapalu village, Municipality of Haaslava, 62105 Tartu County) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the mountain deposit of the Aardlapalu quarry.

The mountain allocation for the Aardlapalu sand quarry applied for is situated in the municipality of Soindena in the municipality of Ülenurme, Tartu, in the municipality of Soindena, in the cadastral parcels of the quarry (cadastral mark 94901:006:0709) and the ardlapalu (cadastritus mark 94901:006:0202) in the sandy fields of Aardlapalu (reg.nr 0274). The mountain area of the horticultural deposit is 37.85 ha and that of the mountain deposit is 57.39 ha. As of 01.01.2017, the active consumption of building sand associated with mining reserves was 1249 thousand m ³, of which 629 thousand m ³ are mined and the active consumption of filler sand was 548 thousand m3, of which 201 thousand m3 are mined. An average annual extraction rate of 93 thousand m ³ is requested. The areas of use of the mineral resource are concrete, general construction and road construction. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for is 31.12.2026.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the offices of the Environment Agency in Jõgeva (garden 2, 48306 Jõgeva, tel 776 2419, e-mail louna@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address in louna@keskkonnaamet.ee or to a postal address at garage 2, 48306 Jõgeva.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
