The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the mining authorisation application submitted by Osaühing KEKKILÄ EESTI (registry code: 10980212) (address: Bureau 1, Papiniidu 5, Pärnu City, Pärnu County, 80010) was granted.

The mining permit for the cocktail peat production site, including the existing permit No Rapm-009, is applied for in the Regione Rapla, County of Märjamaa, village Maidla. The peat production area of the kuislemma is located in a lowland peat deposit (registry card 188) in the cadastral unit Kuislemma's peat production area (cadastral code 42701:001:0350) owned by the Republic of Estonia, managed by the Ministry of the Environment and authorised by the Land Authority.

According to the application, the minimised stock of reduced peat is 639 thousand t and the exploitable stock of well-degraded peat is 1022 thousand t and the reserve is 66 thousand t. the maximum annual minimisation rate for the extraction of mineral resources is 30 thousand. the areas used for the exploitation of mineral resources are plantation and heating and strains. The existing Mineral Mining authorisation No Rapm-009 is valid until 25.04.2025. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for is 30 years. If a new authorisation is granted, the existing authorisation No Rapm-009 shall be revoked.

until a decision is taken on the granting or refusal of mining authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at the laane@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
