Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that OÜ Pihuvere Kruus (registry code: 11338475) (address: Järvevana tee 9 g, district of the city centre, Tallinn, Harju County 11314) submitted an application for amendment of Mineral authorisation No 160-083 (L.MK.HA-172638) of the Mountain deposit of the Pihuvere GRAVEL QUARRY.

The mountain allocation of the pipelagic gravel quarry is located in the village of Mallavere, Raasiku, Harju, in the Pihuvere gravel deposit (reg.nr 0203), in the State-owned cadastral district of Pihuvere (cadastral mark 65102:001:0085), managed by the Ministry of the Environment and an authorised authority, the Earth Authority, and the cadastral division Ulsi (cadastrition number 652:001:270), which is owned by a limited forest management company. The mountain area of the pedestrian gravel quarry is 7.70 ha and the service area of the mountain quarry is 10.80 ha. As of 25.11.2016, the active consumption of the building gravel associated with mining reserves was 261.1 thousand m ³. The average annual rate for mineral extraction is 36 thousand m ³. The purpose of the mineral resource is construction, road construction. An extension of the mining permit for a period of 5 years is requested.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency, Kuressaare (Tallinn 22, Kuressaare, tel. 452 7773, e-mail laane@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to amend or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at laane@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinn 22, 93819 Kuressaare.

The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
