Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency hereby declares that THE APPLICATION for authorisation to EXPLOIT THE mineral resources of THE MEDITERRANEAN bed III gravel quarry submitted by the PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY stone (registry code: 10147365) (address: Lagedi, Lagedi alevik, Rae vald, Harju County, 75303) has been accepted. Authorisation is sought for the Vahelaane gravel in the Mediterranean deposit (registry card No 761) in the Mediterranean ship's III gravel deposit. Vahelaane III gravel quarry is located in Harju County, in the municipality of Anija, in the cadastral parcels Paunküla district 569 (cadastral identification 14002:003:0317) and Paunküla district 570 (cadastral identification 14002:003:0319).

The area of the applicant mountain allocation is 24.34 ha and that of the service area of the mountain allocation is 24.70 ha. The active consumption of the building gravel is 548 thousand m ³, of which the extracted stock is 530 thousand m ³. The active consumption of building sand is 205 thousand m ³, of which the extracted stock is 198 thousand m ³. The active consumption of aggregate sand is 177 thousand m ³, of which the extracted stock is 172 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 65 thousand m ³ is requested. Mineral resources are used in construction, road construction and renovation. The period of validity of the requesting authorisation shall be 15 years.

The application is available digitally in the Register of documents of the Environment Agency http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The preparation of the draft mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
