Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that THE OSAÜHING MOREEN (registry code: 10353946) (address Piiritoa, village of Kaavere, Municipality of Põltsamaa, 48006 Jõgevinia) submitted an application for extraction of the mineral resources of the sandy quarry of Siimusti II.

The sand quarry applied for is situated in the village of Jõgeva, Jõgeva, in the village of Kurista, in the cadastral PARCELS Mare (register number 862235, cadastral number 24802:001:1880), Arvid registration number 778335, cadastral number 24802:001:1640), Peedu (register number 2735735, cadastral number 24802:001:0110) and reg.nr cadastral number 26069 (register number 260235).

The mountain deposit for Siimusti sandy pastures II has an area of 8,71 ha and the service area for mountain pastures is 8,86 ha. As of 01.01.2017, the active consumption of building sand associated with mining reserves was 269,7 thousand m ³, of which 164,7 thousand m ³ are mined, the active consumption of building gravel is 110,2 thousand m 3, of which 28,2 thousand m 3 are mined and the active consumption of aggregate sand is 26,2 thousand m3, of which 19,2 thousand m3 are mined. An average annual extraction rate of 15 thousand m ³ is requested. The exploitation of mineral resources is the construction, construction of roads. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency.
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
