Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the municipality of Laimjala (registered under registry code: 75020799) (address: village of Laimjala, municipality of Laimjala, island Region, 94401) has submitted an application for amendment of authorisation No SAAM-029 for the extraction of mineral resources from the Mountain deposit of the gravel quarry of Kingl.

According to the application for mining authorisation submitted by the municipality of Laimjala, the mining usufruct and its catchment areas are to be extended and the authorisation extended.

The Municipality of Laimjala is applying for the amendment of mining authorisation No SAAM-029 to Kingl's gravel deposit quarry for the extraction of an excavated gravel. The extensible mountain allocation of Kingl's gravel quarry is Kingl's quarry (cadastral mark 38601:001:0020) and KUKE (cadastral mark 38601:001:0302) in the municipality of Laimjala in the region of Laimjala. As of 31.03.2017, within the limit of the requested mountain allocation, the active consumption of the filling crucible is 70 thousand m3, of which 70 thousand m3 are mined. The area of the mountain provision to be extended is 6.25 ha and that of the service area of the mountain provision is 9.10 ha. An average annual extraction rate of 6 thousand m ³ is requested. The exploitable areas of the resource are road construction and filling soil. The period of validity of the amended permit shall be 15 years.

The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until the decision on the mining permit is taken, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at laane@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinn 22, 93819 Kuressaare.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
