Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that SANDPIT OÜ (registry code: 11318414) (address: Mäe 7, Põltsamaa City, Jõgeva County, 48105) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the Mountain deposit of the Lagenõmme or gravel quarry.

SANDPIT OÜ applies for a mining permit for the mining of a building gravel on the Lagenõmme gravel deposit, Lagenõmme or gravel deposit. The mountain allocation of a lagense or gravel quarry is located in the village of Viki, in the municipality of helmets, in the rural district of the island, in the state-owned cadastral district of the cadastral forest 21 (cadastral mark 30101:005:0436). As of 03.05.2017, within the limit of the mountain allocation applied for, the active consumption of the building gravel is 164 thousand m3, of which 150 thousand m3 are mined. The area of the mountain allocation applied for is 1.95 ha and that of the service area of the mountain allocation is 2.12 ha. An average annual extraction rate of 10 thousand m ³ is requested. The exploitable areas of the resource are construction and road construction. The requested permit is valid for 15 years in

the decision to initiate the procedure for an application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency, Kuressaare (Tallinn 22, Kuressaare, tel 452 7773, e-mail laane@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at laane@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinn 22, 93819 Kuressaare.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
