Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that the OSAÜHING KAPASTU (registry code: 10261888) (address: Kapasto alajaam, village Nõmba, Municipality of Pühalepa, County Hiiu, 92363) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources.

THE OSAÜHING KAPASTU applies for authorisation to exploit the mountain deposit of the Määvli sandy pasture in the Määvli-Kapasto sandy pasture. The mountain allocation of the oak-Kapasto sandy pasture is located in the municipality of Pühalepa, in Hiiu, in the village of Nõmba, to the State-owned cadastral unit Määvli-Kapasto (cadastritunnus 63901:003:2430), owned by the Ministry of the Environment and an authorised authority, the Maa-amet. The mountain allocation has an area of 6.96 ha and the service area of the mountain allocation is 7.02 ha. As of 01.05.2017, the amount of active consumable stock of building sand is 2 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 0 thousand m ³, the amount of active consumable stock of building sand is 312 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 232 thousand m ³, the amount of active consumable stock of building gravel is 108 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 79 thousand ³. The average annual rate of mineral extraction is requested to be 22 thousand m3. Authorisation shall be valid for a period of 15 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 680 7438, e-mail information @keskkonna amet, postal address: Tallinna 22, Kuressaare).
The application shall be made available digitally in the Register of documents of the Environment Agency http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/

until the decision to grant or refuse authorisation has been taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
