Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that THE OSAÜHING MOREEN (registry code: 10353946) (address Piiritoa, Kaavere village, Põltsamaa vald, 48006 Jõgevamaa) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the mountain deposit of the Reastvere V sandy quarry.

The purported mountain allocation for the Reastvere V sandy quarry is located in Jõgeva, Jõgeva, Jõgeva, in the village of Reastvere, in private land, in the cadastral parcels of Sõstraplu (cadastral mark 81001:001:0478, register number 1637335) and rye (cadastral mark 81001:001:0479, register number 1637335) in the pasturgeon area (registry card 0267).

The area of the mountain deposit for the quarry of Reastvere V applied for is 2.58 hectares and that of the service area for the mountain deposit is 2.58 hectares. As of 01.07.2017, the active consumption of building sand associated with mining reserves was 424 thousand m3, of which 294 thousand m3 are mined. The average annual rate of mineral extraction is requested to be 20 thousand m3. The quantity of overburden is 65 thousand m3, of which the quantity of soil is 10 thousand m3. The exploitation of mineral resources is the construction and construction of roads. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
