The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that THE application for authorisation to prospect for A more severe research area submitted by BIOLAN Baltic OÜ (registry code: 10053500) (address: Mäe 17, Commune of Lavassaare, 87001 Pärnu County) on 14.11.2017 (application registered under document management system of the Environment Agency No 12-2/17/13001) has been accepted.
The geological survey is requested in the municipality of Pärnu, in the municipality of Pärnu, Viluvere, on state-owned properties in Vändra district 39 (cadastral mark 93001:002:0307, the State property manager is the Ministry of the Environment and the Trust Centre for State Forests) and the border production area of the Rõrer (cadastral mark 93001:003:0143, the State property manager is the Ministry of the Environment and the Maa-amet). The area covered by the requested survey room is 178,52 ha, overlapping partially with blocks 4 and 7 of the active consumption of the well-degraded peat deposit (registry card No 0094) and blocks 5 and 8 of the active consumption of the low-severity peat. The purpose of the study is to conduct a consumption inventory survey to determine the distribution of mineral resources (low and well-degraded peat), the thickness of the useful layer, the quality and the extraction conditions in order to assess the quantity of mineral resources as an active consumable stock for which mining permission could be sought. The study plans to establish up to 2 wells and up to 100 prototytising points at a depth of up to 15 m; other planned ad hoc work: water level measurements; topographic measurements; determination of botanical composition, degradation rate, ash content, natural humidity and acidity. The survey is carried out by OÜ Inseneribüroo STEIGER (registry code 11206437, address Männiku tee 104, 11216 Tallinn). The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 2 years.

The application shall be digitally accessible from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/

until a decision on the granting or refusal of a permit for prospecting has been taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the louna@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The draft decision to grant or refuse authorisation for prospecting shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
