Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).
The Environment Agency States that the application for modification OF the mining permit SUBMITTED by THE public limited company PRELVEX (registry code: 10347224) (address: Järva County, Municipality of Türi, Türi City, Tehnika tn 3, 72213) was accepted.
The request for amendment of the mining permit for the peat production area of EPU-Kotku is made in the municipality of Järva, Türi, in the village of Saueaugu, in the area of the EPU-Kakerd peat deposit site (registry card No 0146), in the area of the peat production site of EPU-Kotku (land registry mark 93701:005:0510), owned by the Republic of Estonia, managed by the Ministry of the Environment and authorised authority by the Earth Authority. Existing authorisation No KMIN-069 expires on 18.11.2019. In the course of the amendment of the authorisation, it is proposed that the period of validity of the authorisation be extended for a further period of 30 years. With regard to land-use rights, the boundaries of the service area of the mountain allocation are slightly adjusted.
According to the application, the area covered by the mountain allocation for the peat production area of EPU-Kotku is 57,30 ha and the area covered by the mountain allocation is 81,68 ha. According to the request for an amendment to the mining authorisation, the active consumption of well-degraded hay peat is 186 thousand t and the excavated stock is 164 thousand t. the maximum annual mining rate is 13 thousand t. Mineral use is horticulture and energy. Authorisation shall be sought for a period of 30 years.
The request for amendment of the mining permit and other relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency Rapla (Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla; laane@keskkonnaamet.ee; 484 1182 or 56885603).
The application is made available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/
until a decision is taken to amend or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at the laane@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla.
The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
