Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the mining authorisation application submitted by Osaühing Eesti Killustik (registry code: 10126848) (address Rõstla quarry, village of Rõstla, Municipality of Põltsamaa, County of Jõgeva, 48022) was granted.

The permit for the extraction of the coronary limestone quarry is applied for by the Cadastral Division Vahasus forestry 52 (Cadastral Identification 24001:002:0002) in the village of Härla in Rapla, the village of Härgla (registry card No 0950), which is owned by the Republic of Estonia, the Ministry of the Environment and the authorised authority is the State Riigimetsa Majandamise Keskus.

According to the application, the area of the mountain deposit of the grandstone quarry applied for is 20 hectares and that of the service area of the mountain deposit is 24.52 hectares. According to the application for mining authorisation, the active consumption of mining limestone is 2646 thousand m3 and the extractable stock is 2551 thousand m3. According to the application, the average annual rate for the extraction of mineral resources is 95 thousand m3. The applications of mineral resources include the construction of roads and general roads. Authorisation shall be sought for a period of 30 years.

until a decision is taken on the granting or refusal of mining authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at the laane@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla.

The preparation of the draft mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
