Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to exploit mineral RESOURCES in the Pirmastu sand quarry submitted by OÜ NURME Road construction (registry code: 11188001) (address Pärnu County, Municipality OF Tour, Nurme village, Kruusa, 85004) has been accepted.

Authorisation to exploit mineral resources is sought in the village of Lolu in Viljandi, County Viljandi, for the State-owned cadastral property Pirmastu gravel quarry (cadastral mark 57002:001:0020).
The area applied for is situated in the Nõmme-Koor (Pirmastu) deposit (registry card 0025).

The requested mountain allocation is called the Pirmastu sand quarry, with an area of 3.02 ha and an area of 3.08 ha for the mountain allocation. According to the application for authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, the amount of active consumption of mining sand is 30 thousand m ³ and the stock to be extracted is 26 thousand m ³. An average annual extraction rate of 2 thousand m ³ is requested. The exploitation of mineral resources is civil and road construction. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee, Tel. 325 8401).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address in info@keskkonnaamet.ee or at the address Alexander 14, 51004 Tartu.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
