Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that the Mineral resources OÜ (registry code: 14212964) (address: Kuusiku tee 18-13, Loo alevik, Jõelähtme Municipality, 74201 Harju County) submitted an application for a mining permit.

Authorisation to exploit mineral resources is sought in Jõgeva County, Jõgeva County, in the village of Kurista, for a quarry of a State-owned cadastre, a salt path (register part No 1060735, cadastral mark 24802:006:0110). In the area applied for, the Gulf is located in a sandy deposit (registry card No 0264).

The mountain allocation applied for is a Gulf quarry, with an area of 13,64 ha and an area of 13,64 ha for the mountain allocation. According to the application for authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, as of 01.01.2017, the amount of active consumable stock of building sand from the Gulf quarry is 233 thousand m ³ and the stock to be extracted is 233 thousand m ³. The maximum annual mining rate is requested to be 16 thousand m ³. Mineral uses include the preparation of building blends and their use in road and civil engineering works. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
