Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).
The Environment Agency States that the application for modification OF the mining permit SUBMITTED by THE public limited company PRELVEX (registry code: 10347224) (address: Järva County, Municipality of Türi, Türi City, Tehnika tn 3, 72213) was accepted.
The request for amendment of the mining permit for the port peat production area is made in the Prääma area of the EPU-Kakerd peat station in the town of Prääma, Järva (registry card No 0150), for the cadastral unit peat production area (cadastritus identification No 56502:002:0950) owned by the Republic of Estonia, the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of the countryside as the authorised authority. Existing authorisation No KMIN-044 expires on 18.11.2019. In the course of the amendment of the authorisation, it is proposed that the period of validity of the authorisation be extended for a further period of 30 years. Within the cadastral boundaries, the boundaries of the earth's earth reserve are also slightly adjusted. The mountain reserve currently in force does not include the whole stock of mineral resources in depth. The authorisation applied for covers the entire stock up to a lower limit (with the exception of the 20 cm thin bottom skate, which is retained in order to refine the peat production area).
According to the application, the area covered by the mountain allocation for the peat production area is 366.53 ha and the area covered by the mountain allocation is 4577.89 ha. According to the request for amendment of the authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, the low-depleted peat stock is 337 thousand t and the margin is 337 thousand t, the highly depleted peat is 1397 thousand t and the mine is 1265 thousand t. the maximum annual mining rate for the mineral resource is 30 thousand t. the fields of exploitation are horticulture and energy. Authorisation shall be sought for a period of 30 years.
The request for amendment of the mining permit and other relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency Rapla (Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla; laane@keskkonnaamet.ee; 484 1182 or 56885603).

until a decision is taken to amend or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at the laane@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla.
The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
