Notice of initiation of a general geological exploration permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for permission to prospect for the general exploration space in Kanaküla filed by the Mineral resources OÜ (registry code: 14212964) (address: Kuusiku tee 18-13, Loo alevik, Municipality of Jõelähtme, 74201 Harju County) on 18.01.2018 (registered under document management system of the Environment Agency No 18.01.2018 No 12-2/18/936) has been accepted.
The application for a general geological exploration licence shall be made in the municipality of Pärnu, in the village of Saarde, on a state-owned land in the village of Kanaküla, district 7 of Kanaküla (cadastral code 71101:003:0115), the management of which shall be the Ministry of the Environment and the authorised authority of the Centre for the Management of State Forests. The area covered by the requested survey room is 267.35 ha. The purpose of the research is to identify a potential source of sufficient quality for the construction and filling sands. The exploration project envisages the construction of up to 50 exploration voids and up to 50 wells with a depth of up to 15 m; other planned ad hoc work: laboratory tests, topographical work, water level measurement and, where appropriate, other experimental work. The research is carried out by the Mineral resources OÜ (registry code 14212964, address Kuusiku tee 18-13, Loo alevik, Municipality of Jõelähtme, 74201 Harju County). The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 5 years.

The application for a general geological exploration licence and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (+372 680 7438, info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse permission for general geological exploration, any person shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the louna@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Paala tee 4, 71014 iljandi.

The draft decision granting or refusing permission for general geological exploration shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
