Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that THE OSAÜHING MOREEN (registry code: 10353946) (address Piiritoa, Kaavere village, Põltsamaa vald, 48006 Jõgevinia) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources on the Mountain deposit of the Pedja gravel quarry.

The purported mountain allocation of the Pedja gravel quarry is located in the village of Kõola, in Jõgeva, in the municipality of Jõgeva, in the private land of the cadastral parcels Moreen (register part No 784335, cadastral identification No 24801:003:0531) and Palmi (register part No 24801:001:0517) in the Pedja gravel deposit (register number 0708).

The mountain area of the pedja gravel quarry is 7.37 ha and that of the mountain quarry is 8.80 ha. According to the application for authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, as of 03.11.2017, the active consumption of the filling sand from the Pedja gravel quarry is 1042 thousand m ³ and the extracted stock is 804 thousand m ³ and the active consumption of the building gravel is 14 thousand m3 and the extracted stock is 6 thousand m3. An average annual extraction rate of 54 thousand m ³ is requested. Mineral resources are used in the construction and construction of roads. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
