Notice of initiation of a general geological exploration permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for a general geological exploration licence submitted by the OÜ of Mineral resources (registry code: 14212964) (address Kuusiku tee 18-13, Loo alevik, Municipality of Jõelähtme, County Harju, 74201) has been accepted.

Authorisation to carry out general geological exploration shall be sought in the municipality of Pärnu, in the municipality of Saarde, Kanaküla, and in the municipality of Viljandi, in the municipality of Northern Sakala, in the village of IIa, for the State-owned cadastral parcels Kanaküla, district 7 (cadastral identification 71101:003:0115) and Kõpu, district 11 and 25 (cadastral identification 36001:003:0018 and 36001:005:9212). The area covered by the requested survey room is 450.29 ha. This is a search for sand and gravel and a study is planned for the construction of up to 50 wells and mines. The exploration depth is up to 15 m. the resources to be studied are sand and gravel. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 5 years. The test room is called Kanaküla II. The study is carried out by the Mineral resources OÜ.

The application for a general geological exploration licence and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency.
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse general geological exploration, any person shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address in info@keskkonnaamet.ee or at the address Aleksandri 14, 51004, Tartu.

The preparation of a draft permit for general geological exploration shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
