Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the request for extension of Mineral Mining EESTI AS (registry code: 10114029) (address Harju County, Tallinn, Lasnamäe district, concrete tn 28, 11415) has been accepted. The extension of the mining permit is requested for the mountain allocation of the Kalajärve III sandy quarry in the district of Western Viru, in the municipality of Kadrina, in the village of Läsna, on land owned by the State (Government Ministry of the Environment and Delegated Authority of the Land), the quarry of Väikejärvi (cadastral certificate 27301:001:0203). The requested mountain allocation consists entirely of 11 and 12 blocks of the active consumption of building sand on the Kalajärve sand deposit (registry card No 0656).
The requested mountain allocation is known as the Kalajärve III sand quarry, with an area of 0.83 ha for the mountain allocation and 2.09 ha for the mountain allocation. According to the authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, the amount of active consumption of mining sand is 155 thousand m ³, of which the extracted stock is 46 thousand m ³. The average annual rate for mineral extraction is 10 thousand m ³. Mineral resources are used in road construction and construction blends. With the request for extension of mining permit No L.M.7322588 for a total period of 15 years, i.e. until 01.07.2033.

The request for extension of the mining permit and other relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency in Jõgeva (AIA 2, Stadt Jõgeva, tel 5621 5670, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until the decision to grant or refuse an extension of the mining permit is taken, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address in info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to a postal address at garage 2, 48306 Jõgeva.

The preparation of the draft extension of the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
