Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for modification of the mining permit for OÜ Laaser timber (registry code: 10948289) (address: Varbola village, Commune of Märjamaa, County Rapla, 78203) (hereinafter mining permit) No HARMON-109 has been accepted.

The mountain allocation of the Mustu cruise quarry applied for is located in the village of Mustu, in the municipality of Saue, Harju, in the state-owned land of the village of Mustu, in the monastery district 53 (cadastral identification 51802:003:0545, the manager of which is the Ministry of the Environment and the authorised authority of the Ministry of the Environment and the Centre for the Management of State Forestry), the gravel (cadastre identification 51802:003:0545, the owner of the private property).

The amendment of Mining authorisation No. HARMON-109 requests an extension of the period of validity of the mining authorisation and an extension of mining reserves and their catchment areas. The current mining permit No. HARMON-109 Mustu has an area of 2,09 ha for the mountain deposit of a gravel quarry and an area of 3,03 ha for the catchment area. The area of the Mustu mountain deposit applied for is 7.83 ha and the area of the catchment area 7.83 ha. The Mustu mountain allocation applied for includes blocks 4, 6, 7 and 8 of the active consumption stock of the building gravel, the last two of which are below the average groundwater level.

According to the request for amendment of the mining permit, the active consumption of mining gravel is 278,5 thousand t and the extraction is 265 thousand t. the maximum annual mining rate is 19 thousand m ³. Mineral uses include construction and road construction. The period of validity of the mining permit to be changed is 15 years.

The request for amendment of the mining permit and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (674 4804, info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until a decision is taken to modify the mining permit or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The preparation of the draft decision granting or refusing the mining permit shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
