Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to EXPLOIT the resources of the sandy quarry of Liivalaia VII submitted by as TREV-2 Group (registry code: 10047362) (address Harju County, Tallinn City, Nõmme district, Pärnu mnt 463, 10916) (registered Environment Agency under document management system 28.06.2018 under number 12-2/18/10937) has been accepted.

The purported mountain allocation for the sandy quarry of sandy VII is located in Harju County, Freistaat Sachu, on a state-owned property in the village of Männik, in the Viimsi district 98 (cadastral title 71801:001:1072), whose management of State property is carried out by the Ministry of the Environment and an authorised authority by the State Forest Management Centre. The requested mountain allocation for the sandy quarry of sandy VII includes 67 blocks of active consumption of building sand in the Tallinn-Saku deposit (registry card No 0109).

The mountain allocation applied for is 2.73 ha and its catchment area 5.08 ha. According to the authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, as of 01.01.2018 the Liivalaia of active consumable stock of building sand from the sandy quarry VII is 226 thousand m ³ and the stock to be extracted is 148 thousand m ³. The average annual rate of mineral extraction is requested to be 11 thousand m ³, the fields of use being road construction, general construction and aggregates. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (tel +372 674 4804, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally in the Register of documents of the Environment Agency http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The preparation of the draft mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
