Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for amendment of Mineral Mining permit No KMIN-043 submitted by THE public limited company PRELVEX (registry code: 10347224) (address: Järva County, Municipality of Türi, Tehnika tn 3, 72213) has been accepted.

Mineral extraction permit No KMIN-043 extracting peat from the coercive deposit of the Kaalepi peat production area, which, together with a service area in Järva County, Järva County, in the village of Kaalepi on a state-owned property (Ministry of the Environment of the State Treasury and the Delegated Authority for the Maa-amet), includes the Kaalepi peat production area (cadastral certificate 12902:002:0320). The mountain allocation for the cod-making area of the Kaalepi includes a block 1 of well-degraded peat at at the EPU-Kakerd peat site on the island of Tartus (registry card No 0151).

The area covered by the mountain allocation for the peat production area of the carpet is 82.78 ha and the area covered by the mountain allocation is 108.76 ha. As of 01.01.2018, the active consumption of the well-degraded segment of the Kaalepi peat production area is 1 block of ice 288 ash t, which according to the application is 255 ash t. the maximum annual mining rate for mineral resources is 15 ash t. Mineral resources are used for agriculture and energy. The intention of the company is to extend mining authorisation number KMIN-043 by a total of 30 years, as well as to align the limit of the mining allocation with the contour of block 1 approved by the environmental registry and to bring the limit of the catchment area of the mining allocation into line with the border of the catchment area Kaalepi peat production area (cadastral criterion 12902:002:0320).

The draft amendment to the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
