Notice of initiation of a general geological exploration permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for a general geological exploration licence submitted by the OÜ of Mineral resources (registry code: 14212964) (address Harju County, Jõelähtme Municipality, Loo Aevik, Kuusiku tee 18-13, 74201) has been accepted.

Authorisation for the general geological survey for herman is sought in the Türi Region 53 (Cadastral Identifier 32501:003:0062) of the village of Järva in the municipality of Järva, the municipality of Järva, which is owned by the Republic of Estonia, managed by the Ministry of the Environment and approved by the State Forest Management Centre.

The area covered by the general geological survey applied for is 183.64 ha. In the course of general geological exploration, up to 50 wells and up to 50 exploration wells are to be created. The research depth shall be 30 m. the main objective of the research sought shall be to locate mineral resources of a quality corresponding to the construction and filling sand or building limestone and dolomite and, when found, to constitute a significantly smaller area on which a more detailed geological survey may subsequently be carried out on a scale of 1:20 000. Exploratory wells and underground exploration cavities for general geological exploration shall identify the distribution conditions, composition and characteristics of natural deposits, including mineral resources, and identify the possible uses of the natural deposits to be studied. The general geological exploration licence applied for shall be valid for a period of 5 years. The study is carried out by the Mineral resources OÜ.

The application for a general geological exploration licence and other relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency in Rapla (Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla; info@keskkonnaamet.ee; 484 1182 or 56885603).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse permission for general geological exploration, any person shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address at the info@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address Tallinna mnt 14, 79513, Rapla.

The preparation of a draft permit for general geological exploration shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
