Notice of initiation of a prospecting permit procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice pursuant to paragraph 30(2) of the Land Law (MaaPS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for authorisation to prospect for the Kibuna II exploration room submitted by Lignator met (registered under registry code: 10476666) (address Tartu County, Tartu City, Tartu City, TN 37b, 50107) (registered under document management system of the Environment Agency under document number: 26.09.2018 under number 12-2/18/15707) has been accepted.

The application for a geological survey is made to the private land registry Otsarimetsa (cadastritus 29702:001:0046) in the village of Kibuna, Harju County, Saue. The area covered by the requested survey room is 5.31 ha. The geological survey shall be carried out in order to clarify the possibilities for exploiting and extracting the mineral resources (sand, gravel) present in the Kibuna II exploration room. This is a consumable stock survey, which plans to build up up up to 15 wells and up to 15 exploration cavities. The research depth is up to 6 m. for the sake of completeness, the study plans to carry out the following ad hoc work: water level measurements at study points, topogogodetic measurements, samples to determine the steel composition of the material. The survey is carried out by Maavarauuringud OÜ (registry code 14346587, address Tartu County, Tartu City, sand tn 41, 50303). The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 2 years.

The application for authorisation to prospect and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (tel 674 4804, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at http://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for a prospecting operation, any person shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The draft decision to grant or refuse authorisation for prospecting shall be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
