Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that THE APPLICATION for authorisation to exploit A LIMESTONE QUARRY in GRAND Duchy II for ROCK (registry code: 10147365) (address: Lagedi alevik, Rae vald, Harjumaa, 75303) has been accepted. The mountain allocation of the Grand-ears II limestone quarry is located in the municipality of Viru-Nigula in the municipality of Viru-Nigula on the following properties: 15401:002:0462, 15401:002:0322, 15401:002:0323, 15401:002:0123, 15401:002:0292. The mountain allocation applied for is situated in a deposit in the Grand Duchy (registration card No 808). The mountain allocation applied for includes blocks 6, 7, 14, 15 and 16 of the mineral's active consumable stock.
The area of the mountain allocation applied for and of its catchment area is 17.19 ha. As of 01.01.2018, the active consumable stock of high-level building limestone associated with mining reserves is 691 ash m3 and the excavated reserves are 662 ash m3; the active consumable stock of lower-level building limestone is 322 ash m3 and the excavated reserves are 309 ash m3 and the active consumable stock of building gravel is 66 ash m3 and the excavated reserves are 62 ash m3. The average annual extraction volume is requested to be 35 thousand m3. The authorisation is requested for a period of 30 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally in the http://dhs-ADR kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
