Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for modification OF the mining permit SUBMITTED by THE public limited company PRELVEX (registry code: 10347224) (address: Järva County, Municipality of Türi, Türi City, Tehnika tn 3, 72213) was accepted.

The request for modification of the permit for the extraction of a peat production area is made for the cadastral parcel Viisu peat production area (cadastral title 68401:004:0750) in the village of Kirisaari in the town of Paide in Järva (registry card No 0117). The cadastral parcel is owned by the Republic of Estonia, the manager is the Ministry of the Environment and the authorised authority is the Maa-amet.

The existing authorisation No JARM-3/2003 was granted on 29.07.2003 and expires on 20.12.2019. In the course of the amendment of the authorisation, it is proposed that the period of validity of the authorisation be extended for a further period of 30 years. In addition, it is proposed to bring the mountain allocation limit into line with the stock blocks established on the basis of the 31.12.2015 residue study and approved on 13.04.2018 (228,95 ha of the mountain allocation area with an existing authorisation, following an amendment of the authorisation of 223,80 ha). The limit on the catchment area of the mountain allocation is intended to be aligned with the limits of the cadastral parcel (cadastral identification: 68401:004:0750) of the peat production area in Viisu (surface area of the mountain allocation of 317.20 ha with the existing authorisation, after amendment of the authorisation: 316.84 ha).

According to the request for amendment of the mining permit, on 30.09.2018, the extraction of well-degraded hay peat is 921.268 thousand, of which the stock is 833,268 thousand t, and the low-severity peat is 36.986 thousand T, of which 36.986 thousand t is mined. the maximum annual mining rate is 21 thousand t. the request for amendment of the mining permit and other relevant documents can be consulted at the info@keskkonnaamet.ee of the Office of the United Kingdom of Washington,

until a decision is taken to amend or refuse to modify the mining permit, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Tallinna mnt 14, PK 5, 79513, Rapla.

The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
