Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the public limited company Eesti teed (registry code: 12249762) (address in Linnuse 6, City of Rakvere, 44306 County of West Viru) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit the mineral reserves of the Kobratu sandpasture. The requested Kobratu sand quarry is located in Tartu County, Tartu County, in the village of Kobratu county, within the cadastral district of Kobratu's sandpasture (register number 713904, cadastral mark 79402:003:0050, intended use of 100% mining land) in the Kobratu sandpasture (register number 0833). The State Treasury is the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and the authorised body is the Road Administration.

The size of the mountain deposit in the cobrous sandy pasture is 1.88 ha and the size of the service area in the mountain deposit is 5.58 ha. As of 01.09.2018, the active consumption of aggregate sand associated with mining reserves was 196 thousand m ³, of which 145 thousand m ³ are mined. The exploitation of mineral resources is the construction and construction of roads. The period of validity of the authorisation applied for shall be 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest office of the Environment Agency (tel 776 2419, e-mail info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the following e-mail address: info@keskkonnaamet.ee or postal address: AIA 2, Jõgeva Municipality, Jõgeva Municipality, 48306 County of Jõgeva.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
