Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency reports that Balti Kivi OÜ (registry code: 11368714) (address Harju County, City of Maardu, Vana-Narva mnt 21a, 74114) submitted an application for authorisation to exploit a mineral deposit of a limestone quarry in Harku VIII.

The mountain deposit of the Harku VIII limestone quarry is located in Harju County, Saue County, in the village of Hüüru, in the Harku limestone deposit (registry card No 0161), in the cadastral division Lee (cadastral mark 72701:001:0177), managed by the Ministry of the Environment and the Land Maa-amet as the authorised authority. The purpose for which the land is used is 100% arable land.

The area covered by the mountain deposit of the Harku VIII limestone quarry is 3.85 ha and the area covered by the mountain deposit is 3.85 ha. As of 31.12.2018, the quantity of high-coarse building limestone used for mountain allocation was 408 thousand m ³. Mineral resources can be used for concrete production, road surfaces, aggregates. Authorisation shall be sought for a period of 15 years.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency.

until a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation for mining and quarrying, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee, 674 4803, or Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
