Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for modification OF the mining permit SUBMITTED by THE public limited company PRELVEX (registry code: 10347224) (address: Järva County, Municipality of Türi, Türi City, Tehnika tn 3, 72213) was accepted.

The request for modification of the permit to exploit an Väljaotsa peat production area is made for the cadastral parcel of the EPA-Vassaare peat deposit (registry card No 0093) in the village of Raukla, County Yärva, area of the exterior peat production (cadastral mark 53701:002:0049). The cadastral parcel is owned by the Republic of Estonia, the manager is the Ministry of the Environment and the authorised authority is the Maa-amet.

Existing authorisation No 6/2005 was granted on 20.06.2005 and expires on 30.12.2019. In the course of the amendment of the authorisation, it is proposed that the period of validity of the authorisation be extended for a further period of 30 years. According to the request for amendment of the mining permit, on 30.09.2018, the “well-degraded” mining stock of hay peat is 81 thousand, of which 62 thousand t are mined and the “low-degraded” peat is 4 thousand t, of which 4 thousand t is minimised. the maximum annual mining rate is 11 thousand t, both on the existing permit and at the request. the decision to initiate the procedure for amending the authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources and other

relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency, Rapk 556, info@keskkonnaamet.ee 514, Tallinn.
The application shall be digitally accessible in the public document Register of the Environment Agency https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/

until a decision to modify or refuse to modify the mining permit is taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Tallinna mnt 14, PK 5, 79513, Rapla.

The draft decision amending the mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the Official Gazette Ametlikud Teadaanded.
