Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the Aktsiaselts Harku Karjäär (registry code: 10478760) (address Harju County, Saue Municipality, Camp alevik, Vae tn 2, 76401) submitted an application for a change to the mining permit for the mineral reserves of the Harku II limestone quarry. The present application concerns the widening of the existing career at the land registry unit Lee.

The existing mountain deposit of the Harku II limestone quarry and its catchment area (solvent 1) are situated in the Harku limestone deposit (registry card No 0161) in the village of Saue in the village of Hüüru in the quarry of Harku quarry 2 (cadastre number 72701:001:0288; surface area 14,77 ha; public land managed by the Ministry of the Environment and authorised by the Land Maa-amet, intended purpose the extractive quarry division 1:007,100%; arable land division 1:007,100%.

The mountain extension area (solvent No 2) is located in the village of Saue, in the village of Hüüru, in the cadastral parcel Lee (cadastral mark 72701:001:0177, area 4,12 ha; in the country's land managed by the Ministry of the Environment and the Land Maa-amet as the authorised authority, its designated use is 100% of arable land).

As of 31.03.2019, the active consumption of high-coarse building limestone associated with the mountain allocation amounted to 510,897 thousand m ³. The mineral resource can be used to produce the construction fragmentation. The authorisation is requested for a period of validity of 21.08.2025.

The decision to initiate the procedure for applications for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency.
The application is available digitally from the Register of documents of the Environment Agency at https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/.

Until such time as a decision is taken to grant or refuse authorisation, everyone has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to the postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216 Tallinn.

The draft mining permit will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
