Notice of initiation of the mining authorisation procedure

The Environment Agency publishes a notice under paragraph 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

The Environment Agency States that the application for mining authorisation submitted by OÜ SOKKEL HOLDING (registry code: 12245586) (address: Regione Rapla, Municipality of Rapla, village Purku, Lonni, 78401) was accepted.

The authorisation for the exploitation of the mineral of a melt V gravel quarry is sought for the cadastral parcels Vardi District 2 (cadastral mark 50301:001:0307) and Nurme quarry (cadastral mark 50301:001:0303), in the village of Pajaka, in the County of Territorie, in the village of Mustu krume (registry card No 0457). The cadastral parcels are owned by the Republic of Estonia, the manager is the Ministry of the Environment and the approved body is the Centre for the Management of State Forests.

The mountain allocation for the Mustu V gravel quarry applied for is 7.57 hectares and the service area for the mountain quarry is 9.36 hectares. The minerals to be extracted are, according to the application, the building gravel (the 189 thousand m3 stock to be extracted) and the aggregates sand (the 29 thousand m3 stock to be extracted) and the planned area of use of the minerals is road construction, general construction and aggregates. The average annual extraction rate is, according to the application, 16 thousand m3. Authorisation to exploit mineral resources is sought for a period of 15 years.

The application for authorisation to exploit mineral resources and other relevant documents can be consulted at the Office of the Environment Agency Rapla (Tallinna mnt 14, PK 5, 79513, Rapla; info@keskkonnaamet.ee; 56885603).
The application shall be digitally accessible in the public document Register of the Environment Agency https://dhs-ADR-kea.envir.ee/

until the decision to grant or refuse authorisation has been taken, everyone shall have the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to the info@keskkonnaamet.ee e-mail address or to the postal address Tallinna mnt 14, PK 5, 79513, Rapla.

The preparation of the draft mining permit decision will be further notified by the Environment Agency in the official publication Ametlikud Teadaanded.
