The request for modification of the permit to exploit the mineral resources of a band gravel quarry is made in the municipality of Yärva, Türi, in the village of Karjaküla, in the Lints gravel deposit (registry card No 0801) on a privately owned land cadastral estate (cadastral mark 83604:001:0063).

The mountain allocation of the existing Lints gravel quarry (permit No L.MK.JÄ-150378) has an area of 3,87 ha and the service area of the mountain allocation is 6,39 ha. The average annual extraction rate is, according to the licence, 25 thousand m3. The mining permit is valid until 28.06.2022. Extraction takes place above average surface water levels.

The area of the mountain deposit of the Lints gravel quarry applied for is 3.83 ha and that of the service area of the mountain deposit is 6.40 ha. The minerals extracted are, according to the application, the building gravel (193,4 thousand m3) and the filling sand (16,68 thousand m3) and the planned use of the minerals is the construction of roads and general roads. The average annual extraction rate is, according to the application, 15 thousand m3. It is proposed to extend the authorisation for the extraction of mineral resources for a period of 15 years.
