Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under paragraph 16(2)(1) of the Law on environmental impact assessment and management systems (KeHJS).

Keskkonnaamet announces the Product peat OÜ Ohepalu's application for authorisation to exploit peat in the peat production area of the publication of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) programme.

The proposed activity aims at restoring the extraction of peat in the former Ohepalu peat production area (previously also referred to as the Pyrika or Tapa production area). The mountain allocation of the Ohepalu peat production area applied for is located in 54 cadastral parcels in the village of Capa in the municipality of Tapa in Lääne-Viru. The EEA initiated KMH for the planned operation by letter No V 10-5/12/2805-7 of 20.02.2012.

EIA programme is available in advance on 08.06-24.06.2020 (inclusive) On the website of the Environment Agency, www.keskkonnaamet.ee (leaflet news, press information) and working days in the municipality of Tapa Vallavalitat (address: long 15, 45106 Tapa).

Proposals, objections and questions of the EIA programme can be submitted to until 24.06.2020 (inclusive) in decision-makers' contacts — Park 15, Jõhvi or email at info@keskkonnaamet.ee.

The public consultation of the EIA programme will take place on 29.06.2020 at 16.00 in the Tapa cultural Chamber (address Central 4, Tapa, 45106 County Western Viru). Due to national requirements, we ask for pre-registration for the discussion by sending an e-mail to the camilla.kastein@keskkonnaamet.ee at the latest on 26.06.2020.
