Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Section 16(2)(1) of the environmental impact assessment and Management system Act (KeHJS).

Environmental Agency announces the publication of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) programme of the AS YIT Eesti coal slope II application for authorisation to exploit the mineral resources of the sandy quarry.

The EEA initiated the proposed operation by letter No 12-2/19/488-6 of 10.12.2019.
The objective of the proposed activity is to extract the active consumption of the coal slurry II deposit from blocks 1 and 2 for the exploitation and marketing of aggregate sand on site sites, road construction and aggregates in the area. The requested SAC II sandy deposit is located in the State-owned Ahtme District 14 and the Vavara Region 1 cadastral parcels in the territory of the villages of Konju and Vaivina in Ida-Viru County.
