Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under sections 21 and 16(2)(1) of the environmental impact assessment and Management system Act (KeHJS).
Environmental Agency announces the publication of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report for the Leppneme port licence.
On 08.08.2017, the Viimsi Vallavalitsus (hereinafter also the developer) submitted to the Environment Agency an application for a water permit for the extension and refurbishment of the port of Leppnees, which was initiated by the Environment Agency on 29.08.2017 by order No 14-6/17/9234-2.
For the extension of the port of Leppnees, the developer plans to install swimming pools with a berth of 61 berths, build a new northern barrier and fill a prospective port area. It is also planned to fly solid substances into the sea at a rate of 40 100 m3 and to deepen the port's waters at a rate of approximately 44 400 m3. The dredging soil is transported for dumping to a dumping area north-east of the Ax Island. The port of Leppneme is located on the north-east coast of the peninsula of Viims, in the village of Leppneeme, on the land of the port of Leppneeme, road 18 (cadastral identification 89001:003:1207; register part No 10437902 and 12450402).
