Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under sections 21 and 16(2)(1) of the environmental impact assessment and Management system Act (KeHJS).
Environmental Agency announces the publication of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) report for the Water licence for the port of Kelnas.
On 08.08.2017, the Viimsi Vallavalitsus (also “the developer”) submitted to the Environment Agency an application for a water permit for the extension and reconstruction of the port of Kelnas, which was initiated by the Environment Agency on 29.08.2017 by order No 14-6/17/9239-2 KMH.
In order to extend the port of Kelas, the developer plans to install swimming pools with 65 berths, to reconstruct the bottom and eastern windows. It is also planned to swimming solid substances into the sea in the port at a rate of 2 200 m3 and to deepen the waters of the port at a rate of approximately 44 100 m3. Excavation soil which is unsuitable for backfilling and other uses is transported for dumping to a dumping area north-east of the Ax Island. The port of Kelnas is located on the eastern side of the island of Prange, in the municipality of Viimsi, on the land of Kelnas (cadastral identification 89001:001:0834; register part No 184202).
