Notice of initiation of proceedings for an environmental permit'

Keskkonnaamet publishes this announcement under Section 47(2) of the General Law on the Environment (KeÜS).

Keskkonnaamet declares that AS Tariston (registry code: 10887843) (address Toompuiestee 35, Põhja-Tallinna linnaosa, Tallinn, 10149 Harju maakond) the application for an environmental permit for the mountain allocation of the Kirikuküla II archipelago has been accepted.

AS Tariston for an environmental permit for mineral extraction and waste extraction in the municipality of Narva-Jõesuu in the municipality of Narva-Jõesuu in the village of Hundinurga in private land on the cadastral unit the Vaivara Church (cadastral mark 85101:001:0390). An environmental permit is requested for a period of 8 years.

The area of the mountain deposit for the quarry of Kirikuküla II applied for is 22.57 hectares and the area of the earth's earth reserve is 24.96 hectares. As at 21.08.2020, the active consumption of building sand associated with the mountain allocation of the quarry of Kirikuküla II applied for is 240 thousand m ³ of building sand, which is mined at 231 thousand m ³ and the active consumption of the filling sand at 166 thousand m ³, which is mined at 162 thousand m ³. The exploitation of the extracted mineral is planned for civil and road construction. The average annual extraction rate applied for is 60 thousand m ³.

The application environmental permit and other relevant documents are available on at the nearest Office of the Environment Agency (5699 2028, info@keskkonnaamet.ee).
The application shall be digitally available on the environmental decision information system at https://kotkas.envir.ee/.

Until the the granting or refusal of an environmental permit decision is made, any person has the right to submit reasoned proposals and objections to the On the application to the Environment Agency. Proposals and objections may be submitted orally or in writing to an e-mail address info@keskkonnaamet.ee or to a postal address Viljandi mnt 16, 11216, Tallinn. 

The draft of Decision on the application for an environmental permit will be announced by the Environmental Agency in the Official Announcements.
